ABOUT THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accounting processes are streamlined and efficient, ensuring financial statements are in compliance with GAAP, and mitigating control risks. This includes improving processes relating to timely and accurate journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, renewals, and filings. This also includes collaborating with our restaurant operators and other departments to scale processes for growth.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST
  • Manage and ensure accountability of the team in day-to-day accounting operations activities, which includes close tasks and new restaurant opening support tasks.
  • Report and analyze financial reporting for restaurants, G&A, and per-opening support tasks.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations on a consistent periodic cadence.
  • Manage lease accounting, monthly rent review practices, and fixed assets.
  • Oversee and audit the company's Expense Management platform.
  • Research and communicate impact of changes in regulatory and GAAP accounting principles.
  • Ensure all unearned revenue accounting practices are in compliance.
  • Support, prepare, and review requests relating to the year-end audit and income tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Streamline existing accounting processes and support technology rollouts to improve efficiency and ensure effective controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, including audit, journal entries, financial reporting, and reconciliations
  • Minimum 2 years accounting supervisory experience
  • Experience with streamlining, documenting, and flowcharting accounting procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP and ASC
  • Extensive experience with payroll processing, recording, balancing, controls, and taxes
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
  • Restaurant accounting experience preferred


Salary Description

$90,000 to $95,000
